"I Have a Dream"...Massachusetts as 1st Choice.  How Are You Making It Happen?
Fundraising Goal - $30,000.00

CEOs and Presidents alike have said that positive change requires thinking out of the box, sometimes rustling feathers, and working through the tension to get where we need to be.
Researching the reasons for professionals of color staying or leaving  Massachusetts is where we are going to provide concrete data in order to have an impact.

Commonwealth Compact is moving forward with a strategic planning initiative that will examine our mission and goals to make sure they are clear and tight; will evaluate our efforts toward those goals, will look at our structure; and will accelerate us toward a fully sustainable business model. With encouragement from a generous funder, we have interviewed three firms and are close to signing a contract.  We hope many of you will participate. Stay tuned for more to come.

We also want to continue
to provide access to talented professionals of color for board appointments and employment.   Commonwealth Compact is moving forward with business-oriented solutions for organizations and professionals in Massachusetts.    The opportunities, talks by civic and business leaders, panels, workshops on nearly a dozen diversity pivot points, and recognition of high-achieving organizations and individuals - involve expenditures.

We plan to leverage relationships, engage in new conversations, advocate for more action, and
devote our time to achieving the Dream. We plan to LEAD

Join us in making this happen....support our programs, don't hesitate, donate!:

Reflections on Issues of Race & Class in the 21st Century
As the Commonwealth Compact community knows all to well, issues of race and class are in the headlines seemingly every day. Looking for insight? UMass Boston will host one of the nation's preeminent thinkers on the subject -- William Julius Wilson -- on April 21. Wilson, a university professor at Harvard, will deliver the Robert C. Wood Lecture, starting at 6 pm. There is no charge.
