BGCI Survey - Communities in Nature

Dear BGANZ Members

BGCI are conducting a 5 year evaluation of the Communities in Nature programme to plan our future actions and it will be great to get some Australian voices in the questionnaire. Thank you in advance for your continuous help and support. Here is all the information:

Have your say in the future of Communities in Nature-Deadline 17th of April

Dear colleagues,

We want to hear about the impact Commnunities in Nature has had on you, your garden and its audiences to take the programme forward. Complete this survey by 17th April to have your say.

After its five years of operation, in partnership with BGCI, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has commissioned an independent review of Communities in Nature in order to learn from what has been achieved so far and identify priorities for its future development.

Understanding the views of botanic gardens across the world is a key part of the review process. Therefore, the survey asks you to reflect on your own experience of 'Communities in Nature' or similar community engagement initiatives and forward to future possibilities.

BGCI centred its Communities in Nature programme around the 'social role' of botanic gardens to address the needs of communities and plant conservation in a mutually beneficial approach. To achieve this BGCI has commissioned new research, developed pilot projects with botanic gardens, produced a range of materials to support the work, and reflected on its own organizational priorities and approach.

We would be grateful if you give us 10 minutes of your time and complete the survey.

With very best wishes,

Asimina
