I want to thank you for all your support this week, especially your prayers for the family of one of our students who fell ill on our campus this week.  I am so pleased to be able to share that he is doing well and with your continued prayers and support, we hope he will be back on our campus soon.  Your support, and the support of our students, showed all of us what it means to a member of the Garces family.   Every student here is like my own, and when something happens to one of them, it is personal to me.  It brought me such pride and joy to see everyone pull together as a family.  On Thursday, Bishop Ochoa stopped by and he met with the students. He thanked them for all they did and shared with them the importance of the power of prayer.  God heard our prayers and he answered them.  It was a special moment on our campus for the Bishop to acknowledge the students and the difference their prayers  made, and continue to make, in the recovery of another student.  It was a wonderful lesson for all.

Next week is a special week for me personally.  My sister, Ms. Tiler Peck, is coming to speak to the students and dedicate our new dance room.  Tiler went to St. Francis Parish School but her talent was such that she was bound for greater things and went to New York City to study ballet.  She has gone on to become a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.  You can view her dancing on the You Tube video link below.  She will be speaking to the students about the importance of following one's dream and will briefly dance for them.  You are welcome to join us.  Tiler will be speaking on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:05 AM in the gym and immediately following we will dedicate and bless the dance room.
