As we headed onto Highway 12, we left the sunshine behind us. The course was pretty foggy and cold. The temperature dropped seven degrees on the car thermostat. People were buying warm clothes in the pro shop for a 20 percent discount. I think this happens a lot there. The fog lifted and the sun came out and what a gorgeous day it was. Such a beautiful course, but boy was it a challenge. We had 22 golfers take advantage of their "winter special" which included golf, range balls, and deli sandwich or polish/hot dog and soda or beer. It also included two closest to the pin contests, each winning a round of golf at Eagle Vines. The winners were Sharon Blume on hole #14, and Skip Rochette on hole #5. The game we played was called Aces Wild. You took your net score and subtracted all your one putts. The grand prize winner was Tillie Melton followed by Jeri Paik in second. They each won a gift card to Starbucks. Want to see pictures? Click here! |
