Ben's Buzz:

October 28, 2015

We are so excited to welcome back Beth DiMartino part-time to the faculty and staff of BFCCPS!   Beth is serving as a Math mentor and coach, focusing on grades 5-8.  She will be working with 5th-8th grade teachers of math to offer suggestions for math instruction, suggestions for supporting students in the math classroom, and be available to co-teach math lessons, or model various methods of math instruction in the classroom, including working in stations to help support real-world applications of math concepts.  We are all incredibly excited to have Beth back at BFCCPS and working in this role!

All students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a Jeans Day this Friday!

It is that time of year, where the temperatures in New England can be quite unpredictable. Please be sure to send your child with a coat, hat and gloves every day.  The children will continue to have outdoor recess and Physical Education weather permitting.

I certainly hope we don't need to implement any weather closures in the near future, but please take a moment to review our Inclement Weather procedures here on the BFCCPS website.

Wishing you a wonderful rest of the week!

Sincerely,

Heather Zolnowski
Head of School

Winter Coat Drive with Grade Six:

Many families from around the world are very cold in the winter. It's usually because they can't afford to buy winter attire. Would you like to help those poor families in need? There's a way you can! BFCCPS would like you to support the New England Patriot Charitable Foundation's annual Winter Coat Drive!

Grade Six is teaming up with Cradles to Crayons to help families in need throughout the winter months. You can help by donating gently used coats, mittens, gloves, and new hats (make sure the hats are new).

You can donate these items by bringing them to school between November 2 through the 13th. We will have a large bin on the first floor for these items to be collected. I'm sure all of those families and the BFCCPS community would be so happy if we could meet the goal of helping 32,000 families! Please donate to save many lives!
