AU Outreach Leads a Delegation to Cuba, October 19 - 23, 2015
"Esta es la tierra mas hermosa que ojos humanos han visto."

Dear Colleague,

Last month, twenty-one (21) delegates participated in Auburn University's most recent trip to Havana, Cuba, and as one person noted, "got lost in time, somewhere in the 1950s."

It's not just the old American cars in the streets or the exquisite colonial architecture with peeling paint in Old Havana. Instead, it's a sense that the world of modern tourism has somehow largely bypassed the Caribbean's largest island. This ambiance makes Cuba an undeniably enticing destination.

This summer, Secretary of State John Kerry will go to Havana to raise the U.S. flag over the soon-to-be-reopened American embassy. Not only will this be an important symbolic moment, but also the administration says the U.S. will be able to station more American personnel in Cuba. Additional staff will be a big help in practical terms as more Americans travel to and trade with the Country.

Clearly, the time to go to Cuba is now. During your visit, hear local speakers discuss opportunities in the largest, least-commercialized, and most exciting island in the Caribbean. Cuba's relative political isolation has prevented it from being overrun by tourists, and locals are sincerely friendly to those who do venture in.

Your combined transportation and hotel package from Miami is $3,445 per person, double occupancy. For more information and a complete agenda, please download the PDF on the program or go to: Auburn University Outreach to review.

Once you have reviewed the program, Ms. Sheree Wilson at Auburn University can  send you the appropriate documents to register. Her contact details are:
