* 5:00 pm: First-ever firkin@ BOISE BREWING! Lance has a double dry-hopped Hip Check, packed with extra Simcoe and Amarillo hops. Come on in any time after 5! But come by Saturday, because firkins are a one-day deal and then it's gone.
What the firk is a firkin? It's a cask-conditioned BEER that's naturally carbonated. It's typically served at warmer temperatures and can sometimes be a little less carbonated. This opens up a whole new world to your taste buds. What we like about them most, though, is that we can jam extra flavors in there, like chocolate, orange peels or, in this case, extra hops.
