The War Within my Heart - The Battle with GraceNearly five centuries ago, Martin Luther nailed 95 theses to a church door that declared that salvation is by grace alone and cannot not be bought or earned. This weekend, we are going to look at this wonderful, magnificent reality of grace.

Advent by Candlelight
Monday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center This evening offers a great opportunity for women to set aside the hustle and bustle of holiday preparation to focus their minds and hearts on the birth of Christ. Hostess information: Please stop by the display in the Narthex to sign up for a table, pick up an informational packet and place the $10 registration fee in the envelope provided. As a hostess, you will decorate a table, prepare a dessert and invite friends to join you for an evening of candlelight, fellowship and a musical program. Tables are reserved on a first-come basis. If you would like to experience this special evening, and do not know a hostess-we'd love to have you! Simply contact Lisa Gibson.

Those who live in Urbandale-Leaf Drop Off Saturdays from November 1 - November 15, 2014, 8 a.m. to noonUrbandale Public Works Facility, 9401 Hickman Road. Urbandale residents may drop off leaves, free of charge, at the Urbandale Public Works Facility, 9401 Hickman Road, on Saturdays from November 1 thru November 15, 2014. Residents may bring leaves in any paper yard waste bag from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Containers and plastic bags will also be allowed as long as the yard waste is emptied from the container or bag at the site. Please bring identification as checks will take place to make sure only Urbandale residents are utilizing the free service. If you would like further information on this free program, please call the Urbandale Department of Engineering and Public Works at 278-3950 ore email [email protected].
