In 2014, the Town of Mount Pleasant Facebook page grew by 365% denoting higher public involvement to the benefit of both parties. Nearly half of the 25,165 Facebook Likes originated from Charleston and Mount Pleasant. The strongest audiences were between the ages of 25-54, providing insight on market penetration and demand. An average of 10,000 viewers engaged the Town of Mount Pleasant municipal Facebook site weekly.

DIGITAL EOC
Upon activation of the Mount Pleasant EOC, the Communications Office stands up a digital EOC where residents and visitors can find information online to better address their concerns and question before, during and after an emergency.

The National Incident Management System (NIMS) is a systematic, proactive approach to guide departments and agencies at all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector to work together seamlessly and manage incidents involving all threats and hazards-regardless of cause, size, location, or complexity-in order to reduce loss of life, property and harm to the environment.
