Perkin's Mauve

cutwork bordered linen blend

We knew our customers would love this linen/cotton single border. The color is delicious...a dusty mauve. The cutwork on the border is charming. We envision dresses or tops using the border at the bottom or portions of the border at the bottom of sleeves or pant legs. Border is 8 in. Full width is 58 in

cotton lycra twill

White pants for spring/summer are a must. They are the canvas against which we place our treasured prints and textures. They say clean, fresh, comfortable. Our current offering is a fine-line tricotine twill in cotton/Lycra. Great choice for skirts, pants, crops or shorts. We suggest a lining for slim fitting pants.

print viscose spandex

This jersey knit beauty features a soft white ground splashed with shades of tangy coral, accented with char brown. The random splatters leave swaths of white that you will want to consider as you place your pattern pieces.  We love the color combination for summery dresses and tops. Viscose/Elastane

viscose lycra jersey

This digitally printed jersey knit from Italy is a stand-out in print design and colorations. Large sketched roses tumble on a mottled taupe background accented with black. The dominant color of soft magenta (left) overlays the sketches and background splotches bringing the color forward. This is a sophisticated print for dresses or tops for year round wear. Also available in Turquoise (right) Viscose/Elastane.

printed cotton

Cotton lawn with a summery print is the perfect choice for those sundresses and flowy blouses. This large print based on 17th century Jacobean embroidery design is a stand-out. The colors are rich without shouting. The deep candy pink ground supports motifs rendered in white and trimmed with deep eggplant. We love the deep purple accent color, a refreshing change from black, that still works as a neutral

The warmer weather is finally here and with it come the spring fashions. Guzel has been sewing for spring--a great ensemble that works for warm weather!

I've just made a blouse from Sound Waves using the pattern from "Burda" 4/2014 model 105. I am wearing it with  pants I made last summer from Turq Denim.  I am happy with my new outfit!

Guzel

The top looks really fun, and the outfit looks so easy and breezy to wear! The pattern choice was perfect for this print.
Thanks for sharing Guzel!

Sound Waves
Rayon challis is a wonderful fabrication to work with for flowing dresses, skirts, blouses and tunics. Whether belted or free form, the soft drape of a challis print adds femininity and comfort to your day wardrobe. Softened waves form linear bars down the length of the fabric on a white ground. The colors add vibrancy to the already energetic design. This print comes in two colorways perfect for summertime sewing.  Choose Aqua or Lilac
