Following the film, Dr. Kevin Henderson (Drury University) will be speaking about how the political and cultural conflicts of this Czech classic’s production era (1967) are reflected in its medieval setting.

Celtic folk music by harpist Drew Holt sets the mood from 2-2:30 for this trip back in time to 1215 followed by a scholarly talk by Dr. Thomas Russo, Drury University associate dean of international relations and art history professor.

Magna Carta: Enduring Legacy 1215-2015  is brought to the State of Missouri by the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Foundation and hosted by Missouri State University at the Duane G. Meyer Library. Events and activities begin in September and culminate with the exhibit's two-week run in October.
