After ASTI: How to Deliver Quality Service All Year Long
By Paul Mac Donald, USA Executive Director

In February, the United Servicers Association hosted the 23rd Annual Service Training Institute, also known as ASTI. The event is an opportunity every year to bring together some of the most experienced individuals in the appliance and service industries to share their insights, expertise and intuitions on how the industry is evolving, and how members can thrive. ASTI is our main event each year, but in fact our organization is active all year round, providing our members with the support and resources they need to evolve with the technology, trends and processes that define their work in the service industry.   Read More

Jennifer's Warranty Tip #57
By Jennifer Webert - Mid-America Service

"CLAIM PROCESSORS, WHAT'S REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL"

Warranty Tips
On any normal workday, I will have at least four or five claims that require additional attention. Today for example, I had a BSH claim get hung up in ServicePower that required help from BSH's warranty department to be pushed through for payment. A Viking claim that had a labor and part concession but ServiceBench didn't recognize it. A Miele claim that was rejected back to me even though their T.A. department approved it to be billed to Miele, and several LG and Samsung claims that required emails or SAW's in order to bill and be paid mileage. By Scott Yates, BlogMutt

(Reprint of Blog written about the ASTI)

As close readers of this blog know, I am the CEO of a blog writing service, and I'm also a customer! I don't write the blogs here very often, but I did write this one myself.

You see, I had the honor of speaking to the biggest annual convention of appliance repair professionals in the U.S., and wanted to share my thoughts.

The appliance repair folks hold their annual convention each February someplace warm, and this year in New Orleans in addition to educational sessions about soap chemistry and refrigeration advances, they had a few sessions about how to attract new customers.
