SAT, PSAT, ACT, Subject tests, NEW SAT, OLD SAT????

Many students and parents have questions about which tests to take and when to take them. I am always happy to answer questions about the testing process. Students can prepare for the tests by signing up for group courses or scheduling individual tutoring sessions. The next group course for the ACT begins Sept. 11th. The next group course for the new format SAT will begin in January. The current course schedule is available on the website www.LindaEdgarTutorandSATprep.com.

I am a certified teacher and Reading Specialist. The programs I offer include diagnostic placement testing for Reading and Math, individualized programs to re-teach skills, and enrichment programs. I also offer tutoring for students in grades 1-12 for assistance with homework and preparing for classroom tests.

My center is conveniently located on 45th place just a 5 minute walk from Arcadia High School.

College & Career Center

Arcadia's College & Career Center Webpage has been updated and it has its own calendar!

Please visit for all information regarding testing, upcoming campus college visits and instructions for signing in to Naviance.
**If you have any recent PSAT, SAT & ACT and/or any college prep books that you are no longer using, please bring to College & Career Center.  They will be put to good use!**

Non-Sophomores:

It is very important that if you may want to attend a four year college/university, you take the PSAT on October 28th. This will be prepartion for the re-designed and new SAT that rolls out in March.  Those of you with very good GPA's (mostly A's and B's), and who did well on the PSAT as sophomores, should consider taking the present SAT at least once through the January 23rd test date.  The scores on the PSAT for juniors determine if you could be a possible National Merit Scholar, which is a source of generous scholarship money.

Sign up in Arcadia's bookstore by October 21.  Registration cost: $20

ANLC Parent Prom -
November 14
We are in the process of planning a new event this year for parents only.
Our "Blast from the Past Prom" planning is under way.  We are going for a nostalgic prom with throw back music, decorations, dresses, tuxes and more.  We have secured the venue, we have starting planning prom picture stations, shopping for decorations and thinking about cheesy prom awards.  Soon we will have a "Prom Store" on our website as well as pop-up shopping on campus.  Our busy bees have been collecting "vintage" (also know as gaudy/old school) prom dresses, tuxedo jackets, bow ties, and cumber bunds.  We want you all to dress the part, so thought we would help you out!   Start digging out your prom photos...there will be a special bonus for all of those that are submitted.

We would love to have more people involved in the planning, so please contact [email protected]
