My doctoral dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania looked at traumatic memory of political conflict, persecution and war in relation to creating social value in post-conflict rebuilding with a focus on Liberia. Life-altering experiences as a result of conflict can serve as a healing agent when combined with creating impact through business ventures. I joined Bpeace because I believe in its mission, because I am the change I wish to see in the world, because business and peace goals are not mutually exclusive, and because my research sheds light on economic development from the voices of victims/survivors and/or witnesses of conflict."
