ISAF-approved safety at sea training at PCYC this month

Are you contemplating an extended journey across open water, ocean racing or just want the confidence to be self-sufficient at sea? Don't miss the opportunity to earn your ISAF safety certification this month here at home, by accredited, Halifax-based sea survival instructor Eric Hill.

The ISAF-approved Offshore Personal Safety Course will be held at PCYC on March 21-22, and is ideal for cruisers, racers or team training. Sessions will combine theory and practice, including in-water training at Cawthra Aquatics pool and a day dedicated to flares.

The course is endorsed by Sail Canada and each participant will receive an ISAF offshore safety certificate valid for five years for ocean racing.

There are no pre-requisites, but space is limited to 20. Cost is $479 +HST. To register, please contact the Communication Centre at PCYC directly at [email protected]  or (905) 278-5578. For details and to see other dates and locations, visit seasurvival.ca.
