JARI is preparing for Phase 2 of the Neighborhood Assistance Workforce Training Program offered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) for Tax Credits. 

Companies with state tax liability can make a donation to the JARI Workforce Program and receive 75% in tax credits through the state NAP Program.  The donations will be used to offer workforce programs that enable eligible participants to acquire the skills needed to obtain employment in jobs that pay a family sustaining wage and offer opportunities for career advancement. 

In 2014, the program received over $211,400.00 from nine business contributors.  This funding is providing training opportunities for 18 individuals who enrolled in the electrical technology and building and construction technology certificate based training courses.  Over the past three years, JARI provided short term training programs for unemployed and underemployed workers that resulted in full time employment for 125 individuals.
