Syrian Humanitarian Relief
Defend your faith (in Allah) with the help of charity. Protect your wealth with the aid of Zakat. Let the prayers guard you from calamities and disasters. - Imam Ali (a.s.), Nahjul Balagha.

A brutal four-year conflict has wreaked havoc on Syria and the surrounding regions, leaving millions of Syrians traumatized and suffering. Entire swaths of the country have been destroyed, and according to UNHCR, an estimated 220,000 Syrians have been killed, and nearly 12 million others have been displaced within Syria and abroad.

NASIMCO has launched an emergency appeal to provide humanitarian relief to the Syrian refugees. Individuals wishing to make donations can do so by visiting our website at www.nasimco.org  or through their local Jamaats.

Community Event - Toronto
Summer Quran Camp (SQC) held its 5th annual session at the Jaffari Community Centre in Toronto from August 10th to 14th, 2015.

This year's focus was Surah Ar-Rahman (aiming to memorize the first 25 ayaats). All activities revolved around the Surah and its benefits. The personality of Sayeda Fatemah (as) was the center of discussion as well, with special emphasis on the tasbih.

The campers began their day by listening to the Surah by Qari Sa'd Al Ghamdi and following his recitation. The listening and repeating method worked amazingly well, as by the end of the week, even the 5 year olds were able to memorize 13-15 ayaats.

SQC's aim is to teach the children memorization of the Quran in a fun-filled environment, so the positive connections last through their lifetime!

If you require any information on the SQC, please write to [email protected]
