A handwoven basket with abalone

Deb Curtis of Corvallis, Oregon designs and produces baskets using traditional tribal basketry materials from her region such as cedar bark and abalone shells. She links these with knitting, tapestry weaving, beading, stitching, and surface design to create contemporary functional vessels and items. ($26 - $325)

Did you know?
In a 2011 survey, our members cited parking as a main challenge in getting to Textile Center. We listened, and since then we've more than doubled our free parking lot spaces to 32! Coupled with several free one hour spots in front of the building, and our proximity to the new light rail, it's easier than ever to come to Textile Center.

With fees, taxes, snowplowing, and upkeep, it costs Textile Center $11,896 a year to maintain our parking lots and offer you this free access to our facility. In fact, admission to Textile Center galleries and library is always free and open to the public six days a week.

Please consider a year-end donation to Textile Center.
Thank you for your support of the fiber arts.
