FISHING REPORT
Tale of two stories, Saturday and Sunday....
Saturday we struggled to "make bait" and there were STRIPED BASS to catch! We did land a couple but had the bait cooperated it could have been REALLY good......
Sunday- PLENTY of bait and those that could, helped make bait efficiently........BUT the STRIPED BASS were few and far between, with boat traffic being enemy #1.
HOWEVER- the BLUEFISH offshore provided GOOD to EXCELLENT CATCHING! FAST MOVERS ON SANDEELS, run and gun type jigging!!
THESE ARE THE BIG, TEAR YOUR ARM OFF, BREAK TACKLE, EAT JIGS type pre spawn BLUEFISH!!!
SO, we are in that period of fishing where we look to make bait, monitor the BASS bite and use the pre spawn GINORMOUS BLUEFISH as plan b...
