Welcome to the monthly newsletter for Voices of Hope!  We appreciate your interest in our organization and our mission; to help fund the ongoing research to find a cure for cancer. Look here every month for our most recent news, our upcoming events, and ways that you can help.  As long as their is research to be done, our voices of hope will sing out for the cure!
Welcome!
VOH is excited to announce that we are now sending out a monthly newsletter!

This quick update will let you know what's going on in the VOH world.  Our organization is growing and so is our reputation, which means that we constantly have new events and performances on our calendar.  We also want to share our fundraising success with you, as well as the most exciting news both from VOH itself and the Termeer center, where our contributions are put to excellent use.

Last but not least, look for our spotlight in every issue.  We'll be sharing a personal story or reflection from one of the many voices that make our work possible.  We are ordinary people on an extraordinary mission.  Thanks for being one of us!

September 6, 2014

Voices of Hope will be back at the North Shore Music Theater on September 6th for the second installment of Unfinished.  All the music chosen for the concert has a special connection with those who are taken from us too soon, leaving their life's work unfinished.

We'll be singing some of VOH's classic numbers from years past, as well as a few sizzling new pieces.  Last year's wildly popular concert received rave reviews, and raised (GET A DOLLAR AMOUNT TO PUT HERE) for the Temeer center!  This year we hope to top that, so buy your tickets now!
Recent Events
VOH just held our annual meeting for members.  We are pleased to report that we now have over two hundred active members, many of whom will be performing in Unfinished 2.

We sang to kick off the Lowell General Hospital's Teamwalk for CancerCare.
After inviting us to record a cover of "Firework" for their promotional video, Lowell General had us sing at the opening ceremonies for their Teamwalk for Cancercare.  It was a beautiful day, and an overwhelming turnout for such a great cause.

The Lowell Spinners invited us to sing the National Anthem at their game.
Over 30 VOH members sang the National Anthem and then hit the stands to mingle with the crowd and raise over $350 with our 50/50 raffle.  Thanks, Spinners!

We spent an amazing evening with the wonderful people from the Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at the MGH Cancer Center. They are the rock stars of medicine and science. So honored to be associated with these incredible people.

Two VOH fundraisers have been filling the Backstage Bistro at NSMT.
Love Letters ran for three stellar performances, and April Foley and Sandra Huerta put on a two woman show for one magical night only.  Thanks go out to everyone involved for their wonderful performances, and their gracious generosity.

Fox 25 filmed a segment on VOH for their Real People, Real Stories feature.  Stay tuned to find out when the segment will air.
