Twins game networking event

The third time was charming

On the lovely evening of July 24, 45 members of MHSCN and IABC Minnesota gathered for lively networking at Kieran's Irish Pub and strolled a couple of blocks to Target Field to watch the Twins take on the Chicago White Sox.

This third annual event is now something of a tradition for the two communication baseball-glove.jpg associations. The networking wheels were greased at Kieran's with food, drink and two autographed baseballs that passed through the crowd. Each "ball holder" talked with someone they didn't know, found something they have in common, and passed the ball along. Attendees got even more animated when the event sponsors gave away their door prizes: a New Balance Body Tracker watch and fruit-infuser water bottle from The Research Edge and books from BlueSpire Strategic Marketing.

As we enter a new season and begin a new board year, MHSCN's networking team is  cooking up some great activities. Stay tuned for news about a fall networking event!

We know through conversations and member surveys that networking is a top priority for our members. We want to deliver great networking value in 2014-15, through free-standing events and the popular networking receptions that follow our conferences (next conference: Nov. 13!).

Do you have a networking idea or feedback about our events? Please contact MHSCN Networking Co-Chair Mary Beth Schwartz. We'd love to hear from you!
