ALL Men and Women's College Basketball Graduate Assistants, Directors of Basketball Operations, Player Development Assistants and others who aspire to coach at the collegiate level.

NOTE: 

All participants awarded the Boo Williams Aspiring Coaches Registration

Scholarship will be responsible for their travel expenses. 

Eligibility Requirements: 

• All applicants must aspire to become a men's or women's college basketball assistant coach.
• Must be currently:  (1) employed as a college graduate assistant;  (2) graduating senior who aspires to coach;  or (3) recent college graduate who aspires to coach.
• All applicants must be available to attend the Symposium in its entirety (May 1, - May 3, 2015) in Charlotte, NC.

 Applications Should Include: 

• A current resume.
• A letter of recommendation from either (not all) of the following:  (1)  your head coach , (2) someone who is currently a college basketball coach, or (3) head of an AAU basketball program.
• A personal statement  outlining why you would like to attend A STEP UP- Charlotte and how it will benefit your professional development.

Doyle - Harrington Scholarships (Two (2) Scholarships Available)

Mike Flynn (Blue Star) has agreed to provide one (1) scholarship in honor of former Richmond Coach Ginny Doyle and one (1) scholarship in honor of former Northwest Florida State Coach Patrick Harrington.

 Doyle - Harrington Scholarship Eligibility:  OPEN to ALL Girls and Boys Basketball High School or Elite Travel Team Head Coaches.

BLUE STAR #Next Scholarship (One (1) Scholarship Available)

Blue Star # Next Scholarship Eligibility:  For a former college basketball coach who is currently NOT employed as a college coach and would like to get back into the game as a college basketball coach. 

Doyle -Harrington and BLUE STAR #NEXT Scholarships will Include:

      (1)  Cost of Registration valued at $200; 

      (2) Travel allowance up to $350; and

      (3) Two nights hotel stay at the Omni ($139 per night plus tax)

Applications Should Include: 

• A current resume.
• Reference letter from your head coach or Athletic Administrator.
• Personal hand written 'note' addressed to Mike Flynn sharing with your personal take-aways (lessons learned)  from a book you recently read.
