(Sacramento, CA. - May 14, 2015) CAWA, Representing the Automotive Parts Industry, is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2015 scholarship awards. CAWA provided $11,500 in scholarships this year to thirteen individuals. "Once again, CAWA is proud to assist these young people in pursuing their careers in the auto care industry", said Rodney Pierini, President and CEO, in announcing the awards.

- Jonathan Montes - Chaffey College
- Justin Holmquist - Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
- Kianna Silva, The Mort Schwartz Award - Santa Barbara City College
- Luis Cendejas Moreno - Bakersfield College
- Michael Rukov - DeVos Graduate School
- Pedro Ortega - Citrus College
- Perla Veloz - Ferris State University
- Walter Wright - Umpqua Community College
- Zachary Mueller - Cal Poly Pomona
The primary scholarship fundraising effort by CAWA is its annual dinner meeting held the Sunday night before the AAPEX and SEMA shows. This year it will be held at Cesare's in Las Vegas on November 1, 2015. Scholarship funding also comes, in part, from a grant provided by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and events at CAWA leadership days.
