Well $1.6 billion dollars in weapons agreed upon last year in the US is now finally leaving the US....obama said to be the cause of the slow shipment.....be careful of who your friends are.....some folks are just full of excuses....but at least the equipment is finally starting to flow.
Iraq issued a smart card to the staff of the Directorate of Education Maysan
Maysan Province Directorate of Education will be receiving smart cards for their staff as a form of salary payments....hey the important thing is they are to be paid it seems....a cashless society we become.....but safer since they won't need wheelbarrows to carry around for bread purchases now.

These are foreign remittances...these are bills from foreign customers...IMO. Presently those bills are paid with USD.
The way this article reads these are not local citizens, but foreign customers.
This is significant IMO because the banks are being told to pay their foreign bills with IQD...not with the USD.
Could be very good news.

Toyvp: Bernice IMO the IMF loan is just barely enough for them (GOI) to get by for a few more weeks Dr.S is just waiting for his security to get wrapped up, as for the financial problem in October that is purely speculation that I would not put any stock into.

What Traits Do You Need To Be A Great Investor?
Wharton professor Jeremy Siegel's 2005 book The Future for Investors has an amazing statistic that stresses an important one: The ability to sit on your hands and do literally nothing.
The S&P 500 contains (surprise) 500 companies. But it's constantly changing. Companies get booted from the index, acquired by competitors, and go out of business. Standard & Poor's needs to replace old stocks with new ones.
Since its beginning in 1957, almost 1,000 companies have been removed from the index, and another 1,000 new companies added.
