FirstLight Home Care and Glen Rock Public Library are continuing their monthly series of talks of special interest to seniors and their care givers. Presenter Tracey Lawrence, elder care expert and founder of Grand Family Planning, llc. will lead the discussion. Light refreshments will be served. 

Highlights include: normal aging vs. dementia, understanding what dementia is and the various types of dementia, treatment options, available care, impact of other illnesses on cognition, and more.

THE BRIDGES OF MANHATTAN
Thursday, April 23rd @ 7pm

Manhattan's first bridge, the wooden King's Bridge, opened in 1693. Today, 20 bridges link the island to the boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bronx as well as to New Jersey. Learn how and why the most famous bridges were built. The program is illustrated with original photographs and historic images of Manhattan's iconic bridges and of the city they helped shape. 
Presented by Kevin Woyce, historian and author.

He's WATCHING YOU:
a Nazi spy in Glen Rock

In 1942, the FBI investigated Carl Schiphorst, a Glen Rock resident, and the leader of the German American Bund. Schiphorst was suspected of being a Nazi spy. Join us to hear this fascinating story. Speaker: James C. Calaski
