Staff Notes...

Dear Chamber Members,

The pedal is pushed to the metal as we accelerate into event season at the Chamber. A driving force behind success of these events are our sponsors. Sponsors are smart people. They understand that Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce events are the perfect outlet to gain publicity, brand recognition, enhanced visibility and image in a community.

It is the Chamber's priority to recognize and promote sponsors throughout the year. If you go to our events, you will see signage promoting sponsors. We regularly promote sponsors on our outdoor signs, on our website, through social media and in our marketing/public relations.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a sponsor for the GBACoC, please either call or e-mail me!

North-South Commuter Rail Feasibility Study Community Meeting

Monday, March 30, 6:30-8:30p

Bennett Recreation Center

925 W. Grand River Avenue

Howell

The North-South Commuter Rail (Wally) is a proposed 27-mile long commuter rail service that would connect Ann Arbor and Howell, with intermediate stops along the way. It is being evaluated as a way to improve mobility along US-23 and to promote economic development and job creation in the region. Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority is conducting a feasibility study to assess this rail service. This federally funded study will take about 15 months and will consist of phases and tasks that have been identified in conjunction with MDOT, the Fed. Highway Admin. and Fed. Transit Authority. The intent of these public meetings is to provide an update on the status of the North-South Commuter Rail project and overview of the feasibility study. There will be a presentation at the beginning of the meeting followed by a Q and A.  For more information, visit www.nsrailstudy.com or contact Michael Benham at AAATA at 734.794.1851 or [email protected].
