CACFP Meal Pattern Webinar:

What Californians Need to Know to Comment

Join CFPA, the California Department of Education, the Child Care Food Program Roundtable, and University of California's Nutrition Policy Institute, for an educational webinar, where you'll learn about the proposed Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) meal pattern, what it means in California, and how you can comment. If you have a stake in early childhood nutrition, you don't want to miss this webinar!

CFPA is committed to helping bring a diverse and representative California voice to the public comments. In addition to the webinar, we will be interviewing and surveying stakeholders, developing advocacy materials, and sharing sample comments. We'll share these materials as they are available.

2013-14 School Meal Analysis
3 in 5 public school students in California are eligible to receive free or reduced-price school meals. Research and common sense tell us that well-nourished students are better prepared to learn, grow, and achieve at their fullest potential. Unfortunately, the school lunch and school breakfast programs fail to reach millions of children across our state. How many students in your community are missing out on the health and academic benefits of school meals?
