We Need Your Help
Nigeria Distribution Center

CRI just recently shipped a container to Jos, Nigeria, a city of around 900,000 people, containing 30,000 Bibles. This city is one of many in Nigeria under persecution from the Boko Haram terrorist group. The name of this group roughly translates to "Western education is evil" which means that they are against any kind of education that we have to offer. Our distribution center is filling up with Christian teaching/discipleship material and Bibles, so the people who are benefitting from these Christian books are being harshly persecuted.
Even as they bring a message of domination to Nigeria, CRI longs to bring a message of hope.

"Boko Haram doesn't have a problem with education: they have a problem with the Word of God coming there and setting the captives free," says Woolford. "We've had Bibles and Christian books going into Jos and other places where, literally, people are being hacked with machetes because they've given their life to the Lord."

This message of hope that these Bibles are able to provide for these people is threatening the work of Boko Haram. This sea container, in particular, is full of Bibles which is the most crucial book-one that can encourage and strengthen them through their trials.

Unlike the United States, in Nigeria, one Bible will be shared among many people. Therefore, the 30,000 Bibles that are being sent will be reaching more than 30,000 people with the message of Jesus with no cost to them.

Although CRI has given these bibles away for free, that does not mean that they are free on our end. Our mission is to be able to ship the resources free of charge to the people who are receiving them, but we still have to pay the shipping fees. A sea container, much like the one being sent to Nigeria, costs nearly $11,000 to ship, and we need all the help we can get to continue to do this work.

Update on the Philippines 2014 Crusade
Containers on Hold

Back in October of 2014, CRI sent six sea containers, stocked full of Christian books and Bibles, to the Philippines. Since then, only one container has been released. Although that container has been such a blessing to so many in the Philippines, the other five have yet to be released from the port. We are asking that you partner with us in prayer for these containers' release
Did you know?
That CRI has been alive for 60 years now? In that time, we have sent over $272 million worth of Christian books and Bibles to over 170 impoverished nations all around the world!
