The street sweeping schedule and maps for the entire season are ready and we've added them below. Please forward to your neighbors who might not receive the newsletter.

Also included below is information on the runoff elections. Early voting has already started and Election Day is April 7th for several wards and the Mayor of Chicago.

And for some family fun, join your neighbors at one of our local parks for an Easter Egg hunt or several other activities. At the opening of the new playground at Hamlin Park this past weekend, hundreds of family members joined in the massive Easter Egg hunt. Thanks to the Hamlin Park park advisory group for all your efforts on the park and another successful egg hunt.

2015 Street Sweeping Schedule and Map

Street sweeping starts April 1st. Due to the remap, street sweeping between April 1st and May 15th will be done under the old ward boundaries. Starting May 18th, street sweeping will  be done according to the new boundaries. During street cleaning days, vehicles cannot park on a specific side of the street in order to accommodate the street sweeper. Please make sure to watch out for signs on your block so that you know when your street will be swept.  Permanent street sweeping signage may be changed due to sweeping logistics but we will inform you if and when that takes place.

Street Cleaning starts April 1st and runs through November 30th.

During street cleaning days, please make sure your vehicle is not on the street to avoid a ticket and allow for the street to be cleaned. If a street is not cleaned due to vehicles left on the street, the street sweeper will likely not return until the next scheduled date. Please be aware of temporary orange colored signs and permanent signs as seen below. Read all signs before parking.
Please assist the street sweeper by clearing out heavy garbage and placing it in black garbage cans.

Private Landscapers are not allowed to blow debris into the streets. Please call 311 and give details of the company to the operator for any landscapers you see blowing debris into the street without sweeping up.

Check commercial or arterial streets for permanent signage that restricts parking on specific times and days of the week.

For more information, please contact us at (773) 248-1330. You can also visit the Department of Streets and Sanitation for more information on sweeping and other services.
