The RISE and RISE professional Databases Open on December 6th!

The RISE (Research Internship in Science and Engineering) programs are for students in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, earth sciences, and physics, who are interested in gaining research and work experience in an international setting.

RISE is a summer internship program for undergraduate students from the United States, Canada and the UK.

RISE professional gives recent graduates, Master and PhD students a unique opportunity to gain practical, career-building experience working in a German company for the summer.

Please note that the application periods for RISE and RISE professional close on January 15, 2015, and January 31st, respectively.

MBA - Master of Business Administration

The 15-month full-time Berlin MBA programme prepares for leadership or consulting roles in internationally oriented companies and organisations. Special focus will be on patterns of internationalisation strategies and entry strategies on European, Asian and transatlantic markets, identifying key success factors in expanding companies in the worldwide competition. Students will acquire the specialist business skills and socio-cultural competences needed to successfully undertake executive business tasks in an international context. Applicants need a completed undergraduate degree and a minimum of three years of work experience. The programme is taught in English.

Master International Business Management
This programme will provide you with the knowledge and tools to conduct business in a truly international way. It provides fundamental cross-sector and cross-functional skills and knowledge in international management. Additionally a Study Visit to Kingston Business School in London gives you the opportunity to engage in international student life. Selected students may study the entire second semester at Kingston University in London or at the Polytechnic of Namibia.
The 15-month programme is especially designed for English speaking students with a successfully completed undergraduate degree and at least one year of work experience.

Master Chinese-European Economics and Business Studies
This full-time programme addresses applicants who have a particular interest in the field of the rapidly growing Chinese-European economic and business relations. Participants will acquire a good base of knowledge in economics and business, as well as in the specific cultural and political foundations of China and Europe. The programme comprehends four terms of study, including a compulsory semester at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics/SWUFE in Chengdu. Students have the possibility to obtain a Dual Degree.

DAAD Deadline Reminder: January 15th is the Deadline to Apply for Undergraduate Scholarship

Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. The goal of this program is to support study abroad in Germany and at German universities. Preference will be given to students whose projects or programs are based at and organized by a German university. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or as part of an individual, student-designed study abroad semester or year.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2015 (postmark date).

Call for Applications: Doctoral & Postdoctoral Grants

The Graduate School of the John F. Kennedy-Institute for North American Studies at Freie Universit�t invites applications for the academic year 2015/2016. The School�s program is interdisciplinary in its approach and focuses on the social, economic and cultural changes impacting the United States and Canada at the beginning of the 21st century. Special attention is given to the crisis-prone transformations running through American society today. Areas of emphasis include domestic and foreign policy, economic development, ethnic identity and relations, as well as recent transformations in media, art, literature, culture, and religion. The language of instruction is English.

The Graduate School is highly interested in international representation and encourages international doctoral and postdoctoral candidates to apply. In order to ensure an equal balance between male and female students, applications by women are particularly encouraged.
Applications for the doctoral / postdoctoral program are also possible if you have your own scholarship/funding. Please make a note on the application sheet and provide some confirmation.
The application deadline is January 31.
