In the college ranks it happens about every four years. In the professional ranks it is usually after a losing season. At some point all teams face the loss of some of their talent, their ranking or both. It's a tough place to be in for a coach or an athletic director. You're faced with possibly re-assigning talent, cutting a few people loose or having to adjust your budget to get the players you need in order to have the best shot at a winning season. People are depending upon the decisions you make. It's not always pretty the first few games out but your job may depend on how things come together!

Just as teams rebuild sometimes a man has to rebuild in his own life. A change in career, a financial loss, a failed marriage or a series of moral lapses bring him to a place where he has to make some choices moving forward. Maybe he needs to re-assign some priorities, cut loose a few friendships or adjust his priorities? Maybe he needs to go a different path altogether? Whatever the decision it can be a challenging season of life for a man especially if he hasn't completely recovered from what brought him to this point in the first place.
