Mother's Day Carriage Ride
Historic Boone Tavern Hotel

Take a peaceful carriage ride guided by Christine Seals of Whistle Stop Stables.  Her majestic Percheron horses will take you back to a simpler time as you enjoy the ride. The cost is $30 for two people $10 for additional people to join in.

Red Lick Valley Artisans Studio Tour

Saturday 9am-6pm & Sunday 10am-4pm 

This weekend is the Red Lick Artisans Spring Studio Tour. A two-day, rain or shine, self-guided tour of working artists in the Red Lick Valley "Knobs" area of Eastern Kentucky, 6 miles east of Historic Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant of Berea College.

The tour has 9 different locations to visit with almost two dozen artists and guest artists' work to view and purchase. Some guest artist locations have changed from last year and additional artists have been invited to keep things fresh. In addition to pottery, the art and craft on the tour include paintings, jewelry, woodworking, furniture, textiles, up-cycled works and dance plus an invitation to Snug Hollow Farm Bed and Breakfast in Red Lick Valley to meet author, Barbara Napier and enjoy lunch and the scenic trails on the property.
 
Berea Victory Garden Blitz
May 15-17

A project to strengthen Berea's local food system by supplying raised garden beds throughout the community and mentoring new grower s.

Dozens of volunteers will work together to build, install, and fill with soil more than 135 raised garden beds throughout the community, during a three-day Victory Garden Blitz- Friday through Sunday, May 15-17

To make raised garden beds available to everyone, they will be offered at full price and on a sliding scale. New growers can receive educational resources and mentoring support.

You can be involved in our project by purchasing a raised bed for yourself or someone else, volunteering your time and labor, or supporting our project financially.

Berea Victory Garden Blitz Party
May 17 at 5pm

Come celebrate the installation of more than 135 raised garden beds across the city of Berea. Join us in this great community event! Food and music and comments from our town's dignitaries!

The Berea Victory Garden Blitz is led by Blitz Coordinator Katie Startzman, and is a project of Sustainable Berea.
