It's been a busy week in Annapolis, and there's no rest for the weary! We need your help to support the Governor's proposed budget for the Office of Tourism Development, and we need it quickly! Initial budget decisions will be made on  Monday, March 9th.

The Maryland Department of Legislative Services analysts have recommended trimming the Governor's proposed budget of $8,157,767 in General Funds by $2,157,767-- bringing the total to just $6 million.  It is crucial to communicate to the subcommittee members, your support for the full $8,157,767 in the Governor's proposed budget for the Maryland Tourism Development Board.

The subcommittee decision on the DBED budget will be made on Monday, March 9, so there is little time to reach them. We know and understand that Tourism is Everybody's Business. Please pass that information along by contacting any of the following legislators (listed below) that you may have a personal friendship with, that represent your legislative area, or if you have time, contact them all to urge them to  VOTE TO FUND THE ENTIRE $8,157,767, proposed in the Governor's budget.
