Leadership Tampa Bay News                                                        Spring Edition
From the Desk of the President

This first quarter of 2015 has been wonderfully eventful. Last month, Leadership Tampa Bay orchestrated a major event, which included an open invitation to all the Bay Area's leadership groups. The event was hosted by, and would not have been possible without the support of, the Tampa Bay Rays. The overwhelming reception and attendance are great indicators for the collaboration opportunities between these organizations and the unfaltering support of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Later that week, a crew of LTB alumni was invited to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, by the 927th ARW Reserve for a Civic Leaders Tour. The group of leaders was briefed by the 927th before taking off on a KC-135 Refueling Plane to San Antonio. While in San Antonio, the group was briefed by the 423rd Reserve, received a tour of the base, a static display of the C-5 Cargo Plane and the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted the group for a reception.

The adventure continued with the 2015 class. We celebrated my birthday with a trip to Tallahassee last week. Everyone enjoyed experiencing the House, Senate and Supreme Court, and all that our state capitol has to offer.

This class has left me with so many fond memories, and brought back memories of my own class. If you have any great recruits in mind, applications are open for next year. Visit www.leadershiptampabay.com/application.

Cheers,

Danny

Regional Leadership Event

On March 18th, over 400 of Tampa Bay's leaders convened at Tropicana Field for a unique event. Tampa Bay Rays President (LTB '07) Brian Auld, President of Baseball Operations Matt Silverman and new Rays Manager Kevin Cash spoke to the group about the upcoming season, sharing their leadership experiences-particularly leadership through transition.

All of the region's leadership groups were encouraged by LTB to attend. The turnout set the bar high for next year!
