Year Round

We are quite happy that we have started our grape harvest for the year.  If you haven't tried our grapes...they are a must try at the farmers market!

I tout them every year because they are just that delicious and the flavor is superior. We grow multiple varieties from now through the fall so there's a good chance that you'll encounter a different variety each week.  We grow seedless and seeded varieties and sell them pre-packed in pint and quart boxes, or you can pick-up a single bunch out of our "by the pound" crate.
And here's some more good news:  This weekend's Mini-Flat Special includes a pint of seedless grapes.

We'll see you at Market!

How Do You Know
When to Pick Apples?
While we are only about half way through our Peach harvest, we need to keep a close eye on our apple crop as well.

While it is very fanciful to imagine that we just walk out to the orchard, grab a bright red apple off the tree, and take a bite out of it to see if the apples are ready to pick....that might be part of it, but it's not the whole story.

Anthony's taking us out to the Fulford Gala block today to show you how he goes about determining when to pick the apples, and what to look for when harvesting.

Mini-Flat Special
The Mini Flat Specials has been a huge hit at the Farmers Market.  It is definitely the bargain of the season at Kuhn Orchards.

This weekend's Mini Flat includes:
2 Blackberries (pints)
2 Raspberries (half pints)
1 Seedless Grape (pint)
1 Blueberry (pint)

Regularly priced, this bundle of berry and grape goodness would cost $31.75, but we sell our Mini Flats for just $25 so you can save $6.75.

Keep an eye out for the Mini Flats at market this weekend!

How about 'em Honeycrisp??

Top Two Comments at the Farmers Market:

1) Boy!  Those peaches are delicious!

2) When will you be harvesting Honeycrisp?

Our Top Two Replies at the Farmers Market:

1) Thank you!  They do taste good, don't they?

2) By early September we should be harvesting our Honeycrisp.

Customers have been loving our summer apples, but there's no comparison to the popularity of our Honeycrisp apples.  Folks just love that snappy crunch, sweet and tangy juicy bite.

We anticipate having Honeycrisp apples at market by Labor Day Weekend.

Whatcha Munchin', Sidney??

Sidney is munchin' on Yellow Nectarines, and specifically the Redgold Nectarines which we will be bringing to market this weekend.

Sidney says, "These are my favorite fruit we grown on the farm and we grow a lot of different fruit!  Because I don't like to eat the fuzzy skin on a peach, I choose nectarines for a quick snack.  Juicy and sweet-tart.  I also freeze some for smoothies all year long."

We look forward to seeing you at the Farmers Market!
