The Searle Freedom Trust grant is huge news for BRI ... and we still need individuals like you.

BRI receives coveted
Searle Freedom Trust Grant!
(And we still need ongoing support from
individuals like you.)

September 1, 2015
We are delighted to announce that Benjamin Rush Institute was recently awarded a $125,000 grant from the Searle Freedom Trust. The Searle Freedom Trust was founded in 1998 to "foster research and education on public policy issues that affect individual freedom and economic liberty."

The Searle Freedom Trust aims to support work that will lead to a more just, free, and prosperous society.

The Trust's grant will support BRI's 2015-2016 academic year programs and events, like our annual Student Leadership Conference and other conference scholarships such as FMMA, to which we sent ten students this month. Forty-five students attended the 2015 Student Leadership Conference in Washington DC. Producing one BRI Conference costs $40K, and our goal is two per year -- one to focus strictly on policy, and separately on chapter development and training. So, while the Searle Freedom Trust grant is fundamental, we still need the ongoing generosity of staunch supporters like you to increase BRI's sphere of influence.

We are tremendously grateful for the Searle Freedom Trust's generous support and look forward to an exciting year ahead,  allowing us to pursue our mission of promoting solutions that protect the doctor-patient relationship as the primary means of delivering quality medical care, empowered by a robust free enterprise system which fosters innovation and reduces costs.

Your generous donation will go further than you may think. For example, it costs $1,000 to send one student to a regional conference like FMMA, where he will make connections and gain an education that lasts a lifetime.

Help us spread our sphere of influence and protect the doctor-patient relationship.   and ask them to sign up for our newsletter, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. Thank you!

In partnership,

In case you missed them -- BRI Student Presentation VIDEOS now up on BRI website
We are proud to share the great work of our Student Leaders at the 2015 BRI-Leadership Conference in March in Washington, DC.
