UWSC Holds Largest Campaign in 60 year History, 
Raises $2,833,169

 


United Way of St. Charles announced at their Victory Celebration on Thursday, March 12th, that they have raised $329,614 more than this time last year.


 

"To date, United Way of St. Charles has raised a total of $2,833,169. This is a substantial increase from last year's campaign as well as the largest fundraising campaign in the organization's 60 year history," stated Travis Chiasson, UWSC Campaign co-chair for 2014-2015.


 

In addition to Chiasson of Norco Manufacturing Complex, other 2014-2015 Campaign co-chairs include Felecia Gomez-Walker of St. Charles Parish Public Schools and Heather Lyons of Dow St. Charles Operations.


 

The Victory Celebration, held at Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan, announced the accomplishments of United Way of St. Charles' Annual Campaign and recognized companies with success in their workplace campaigns. 


 

"United Way of St. Charles would like to thank all the local industries, businesses, and individuals for their hard work in making this campaign a success. You all should be very proud," stated Lyons, 2014-2015 Campaign co-chair, as she addressed the audience of company leaders and campaign coordinators.

19th Annual Bridge Run Boasts Record Participation

 

 

Over 2,400 runners and walkers participated Saturday, March 28, 2015, in the 19th  Annual United Way of St. Charles 5K/10K Bridge Run/Walk presented by Norco Manufacturing Complex and co-presented by Valero St. Charles Refinery.

 

 
 
"We are incredibly excited with this year's record breaking Bridge Run attendance. The weather was wonderful, and all participants were able to enjoy the beauty of St. Charles Parish from atop the Hale Boggs Bridge," stated John Dias, United Way of St. Charles Executive Director. "Our commemorative medals were once again a favorite, and we were thrilled to be able to offer them to all racers again this year."
