Purringtons Cat Lounge Grand Opening: Jan. 24

The wait is over! Portland-area cat lovers will soon sip coffee and snuggle cats all in one place. Purringtons Cat Lounge opens on Saturday, Jan. 24, at noon.

The first of its kind in Portland, Purringtons Cat Lounge will house cats for adoption from CAT, and function as a cafe with beverages, pastries, and light snacks.

CAT and Purringtons are working together to make this unique experience safe for cats and fun for customers. Like our other offsite adoption centers, the new location is owned and managed by an independent company but adoptions will follow CAT's policies, procedures, and fees.

Two special cats looking for homes

In December, you helped 12 amazing long-time shelter cats find loving homes for the holidays! Every adoption is a celebration, and it was especially exciting to celebrate these. But two special "CATmas" cats are still looking for the right somebody.

Pawnama: With her shiny black coat and follow-you-everywhere style, Pawnama makes the purrfect, pet-able shadow. She'd like to meet a patient person with a quiet home where she can unwind and enjoy the good life. Meet her at the Thrift Store Benefitting the Cat Adoption Team.

Uma: One of the most gentle, easy-going little ladies you're likely to meet! Uma adores pets, cuddling in cozy spots, and windowsill seats. She's looking for someone who can attend to her special needs, which is well worth it for the incredible amount of love she has to give. Meet her at the Sherwood shelter.
