There's a new buzz word circulating around weather forecasters this past week, Blizzarcane. It's obviously the combination of blizzard & hurricane, but it seems to fit our country's weather so far this winter. The northeast has been battered by snow storm after snow storm, with Boston setting records for total accumulation of snow so far this winter. Storm Octavia is hitting the mid-southeast section, as we speak, with temperatures dropping below freezing as far south as Georgia. For them, this has been hell. For us, when our thermostats go down to 50, we put on a sweater and go about our business in paradise. It's hard to imagine the conditions up north, but we all remember them well. We've been getting calls every day from prospective buyers trying to get down here to live. They are coming! Inventory is low, prices are getting higher. This is President's Week vacation for a lot of guests,  but Addison life continues none the less. This past week we had our very popular Men's Member/Guest Tournament. It was, as always, a rousing success. It seems that almost every week we have some sort of special event on the golf course or tennis courts. That's what country club living is all about. Good friends making great memories.

As for our Addison Reserve update, we now have 25 homes on the market for sale. Our prices range from $333,000-$3,795,000. This past week 1 house went under contract at 7971 Villa D'Este Way. This lovely 3 bedroom, plus office, sports membership home was asking $539,000. Also this week, 2 homes closed, both our listings as well as both also being our customers. The first was 7799 Talavera Place. This 3 bedroom, plus office, estate home, was asking $795,000 and closed for $740,000. Congratulations to Jeff & Erica Solotkin on their new home and welcome to Addison Reserve. Also closing this week was 7881 Trieste Place. This 4 bedroom, 2 story great room model was asking $449,000 and sold for $425,000. We want to congratulate Dr. Robert & Andrea Miller on the sale of their home in Talavera and the purchase of their new home on Trieste Place. We also want to bid a fond farewell to Monty & Annette Osterman, long time Addison residents. Good luck in the future and we wish you well.
