New canoe/kayak launch at Halpatiokee Regional Park

Martin County Parks and Recreation, along with the Martin County Ecosystem Restoration and Management Division and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, is proud to announce the opening of a non-motorized canoe/kayak launch area with adjacent parking, providing access to the lakes in the southern portion of Halpatiokee Regional Park. These lakes have recently benefited from a variety of habitat enhancement activities and offer visitors paddling, fishing, and birding opportunities. The site can be accessed at the south end of SW Lost River Road. The new launch will be open seven (7) days a week from 7:00 a.m. to sunset.
