Greetings!

Did you know there's more than one way to experience Sierra Business Council's 20th Anniversary Conference, "Peak Innovation: The Next 20 Years", happening October 8th -10th at Granlibakken in Tahoe City?

Below we've laid out three inspiring ways to participate in Peak Innovation, all of which include spending time in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area (that for many is enough reason to come, it's the shoulder season after all!).

1. Attend the full Peak Innovation three-day experience:
The conference aim? To build a more prosperous Sierra Nevada. How do we hope to accomplish this? Peak Innovation includes two main tracks. In the first track, "Leveraging Investment in the Sierra", Dr. Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute along with all star panelists from Cutting Edge Capital, Private Capital for Public Good, and Environmental Incentives will show how we can foster the needed investment for the Sierra's irreplaceable natural resources.  In the second track, "Cultivating Innovation and Expanding Impact", speakers from the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, The Burning Man Project, Interfaith Power and Light, Patagonia, and more will share their experience to help us empower growth innovative businesses and business practices in the Sierra.

Also included in Peak Innovation registration are delectable Farm to Table dinners, a film festival, and morning activities including yoga and focused coffee-table conversations! Click here for a full rundown of the three-day experience.

We can even offer you a discount - Enter the code SIERRA50 at registration for $50 off the total cost.

Peak Innovation is priced at over 50% less than conferences of this caliber held in San Francisco or Los Angeles, and you get to spend the time on beautiful Lake Tahoe!

2. Attend a pre-conference workshop:
Pre-Conference offerings such as The Kolbe Company's "Effectively Lead Collaborative Group and Community Initiatives" training, the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship's "10 Steps to Building a Culture of Innovation" workshop, a "Guided Hike from Granlibakken Conference Center", and a "Granlibakken Energy Efficiency Retrofit Tour & PACE Financing: A Pathway to Moving Forward", will each energize and prepare participants for three days of incredible discussions and best-practice sharing, but they are also open to the public!

3.
Attend the Vision Awards Reception and Dinner:
Join us October 9th in celebrating four local leaders with a lively reception, delicious dinner, and presentations on how the Sierra has shaped each of them into the community leaders they are today.

Honorees include Mayumi Elegado of Moonshine Ink, Tim Beals of Sierra County, Scott Paris of the High Hand in Loomis, and Richard Rowe of Kern River Valley Revitalization

Tickets are available for Thursday's ceremony. Come be a part of the celebration of the 2014 Sierra Vision Award winners, their ongoing work is making our region an even better place to live, work, and play.
