3,790 youths and adults.
Provided 15 free drug and alcohol prevention programs to Howard County residents, including 3 for high school and middle school students and 1 for Hispanic youth.
Shared Public Service Announcements in English and Spanish across the county at The Mall in Columbia and through local media: The Business Monthly and the Columbia Flier/Howard County Times.
Launched the strategic plan phase of the new state alcohol grant coordinated by HC DrugFree which includes new technology and increased police patrols to curb underage drinking.
Established HC DrugFree's office as a Howard County Police Department collection site for semi-annual National Drug Take Back Days. T-shirts provided by our annual sponsor, Proove Biosciences, Inc. and Brian Meshkin.

Provided free needle and syringe collections in conjunction with semi-annual National Drug Take Back Days thanks to our partnership with the Howard County General Hospital.


Welcomed Congressman Elijah Cummings to speak to Howard County parents and students twice during the year.

Celebrated as HC DrugFree Teen Advisory Council member and River Hill High School student, Athena Kan received the Governor's Service Award for her outstanding service to the community.
Congratulated HC DrugFree's Executive Director, Joan Webb Scornaienchi as she was elected to a 4th term as Chair of the Howard County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Advisory Board and also remained Vice Chair of Howard County Public School's Health Council.

Awarded the father of a Howard High School student who attended his school's After Prom and who participated in our parent drawing with a gift card to Stanford Grill.
Invited county residents to give their opinions on the upcoming media campaign aimed at addressing adult provision of alcohol to minors.
269 Howard County parents responded to the online survey.
Worked closely with our partners, including the schools and PTA/PTSAs, to get pertinent information out to the Howard County community.
