Five Ways to Help Families
Staying at the House
Five ways to help families staying at the Ronald McDonald House

Volunteer. Our volunteers keep our House running smoothly so families can focus on what's important - the health of their child. Whether you are looking for an ongoing commitment or want to share a special gift or talent on a short-term basis, there is a way for you to make a difference at the Ronald McDonald House. Learn how.

Prepare a home-cooked meal. It is comforting for families to come home to a hot, home-cooked meal after a long day at the hospital with their critically ill child. Meals can be scheduled online by clicking here.

Help fulfill the House wish list. Our House is just like your home but on a much larger scale. Get a group of friends, neighbors, or co-workers together for a donation drive of the items on our top ten wish list to the left. View the complete wish list.

Collect pop tabs. This initiative is good for Ronald McDonald House families, schools, businesses and the environment. We can all do a little to make a big difference in our community! Find out more.

Make a cash contribution. Since we opened our doors in 1982, we have never once closed them. We have been open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for 32 years. This is only possible because of regular contributions from people like you. Thank you!

In their own words...
Our Guest Families say Thank You

Thank you so much for providing a room for us. We got a much needed night's rest. It has been an amazing blessing to our family.

--The Rayments family

A big thank you for giving us a home away from home. It means so much having a good meal after a day at the hospital. May God bless you for your kindness. Thanks a lot.

--The Schwartz family

Presentations and tours are wonderful ways to learn about the "House that Love Built" and the services provided to the nearly 1,500 families who stay at the House every year. We invite you to visit the House for a tour or request a speaker for your next business meeting, school assembly or civic group gathering. Typically, a tour or presentation runs 20-30 minutes, and is customized to the audience.

It's official! We are a Certified Service Enterprise.
Service Enterprise Certified Stamp

We are pleased to announce that the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana recently became one of the first Service Enterprises in the United States certified by Points of Light.

Points of Light is the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, and along with support from the United Way of Central Indiana, the House completed an extensive assessment, training, consulting and certification process that led to this recognition. The House is now recognized as being highly equipped to manage the time and talent of volunteers in building organizational capacity.

"We offer diverse volunteer opportunities to fit different skills, availability and interest", said Michelle Study-Campbell, CEO of the Ronald McDonald House. "We consider our volunteers partners with our staff and their expertise and commitment to the House are truly valued."
