Brace Overcrossing Closure and Lift Dates Have Changed
 
The Brace Road Overcrossing construction project dates have changed. Please read below for projected closure dates.

Winter weather will be monitored by crews and may affect construction. Lift and closure dates are subject to change. Please continue to check the Raise80.com website for construction schedule.

 

Brace Overcrossing

Currently, the Brace Road Overcrossing is projected to be closed to local traffic starting Sunday January 25, 2015 and is projected to reopen on Monday, February 9, 2015.

 

Interstate 80 at Brace Road

Interstate 80 at Brace Road is projected to be closed to all traffic from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27 and Wednesday, January 28 for the lifting process.

 

During the lift process, all I-80 traffic will be detoured through Highway 193 via Sierra College Boulevard and Taylor Road. For a detour route map visit: www.raise80.com/brace

  

Prior to the closure of the Brace Road Overcrossing, there will be alternating nighttime lane closures on Interstate 80 to prepare for the lift process. Closures will be weekly from Sunday through Thursday nights from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. At least one lane will be open to traffic at all times.

Be Work Zone Alert
We remind drivers to slow their speed in the work zone. Workers are working within inches of live traffic. Traffic is unpredictable and sudden slowing or stopping may occur. Please do not peer into work zones as this can cause collisions if drivers are not paying attention to their driving.
