Increasing Access via Mentoring Program (I AM)
University of Southern California
Dear

Congratulations! You survived the waiting process of hearing back from colleges! It may have felt like an eternity, but at least now you have an idea of what institutions accepted you. There are a couple of colleges that are still in the process of sending their admission decision, so make sure you keep checking your e-mails!

Choosing which college or university to attend can be difficult. There's a lot to consider: cost, location, academic programs, etc. We're hosting an informational workshop on Saturday, March 21, 2015 to help you sort through your options and answer your questions. All workshop attendees will be entered into a raffle (See below for more details.) We've also included an article to help you decide what types of colleges fit your personality.

We still have room for students to attend the I AM field trip to Cal Poly Pomona and UC Riverside on Monday, March 30All tour attendees will be entered into a raffle for an exciting gift card.

Enjoy this moment and be proud of your accomplishment of getting into college! You've worked really hard and deserve to celebrate! But also remember that you have a couple of months left of school and colleges will look at your senior course schedule and grades. Be sure to review your provisional admission contract from each institution and stay focus!

Sincerely,

I AM Staff

Tests

CSU Placement Test: Registration and Practice Test

The CSU requires you to take the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry-Level Mathematics Tests (ELM) before you enroll at any CSU (you might be exempt from taking the EPT and/or ELM before you enroll; review the exemption guidelines here.) Your scores will determine which English and Math courses you should take when you begin your career at a CSU.
  • The EPT and the ELM are not admission tests. They will not affect your admission to any CSU campus; the tests simply help determine which courses best match your level of performance in Math and English.
