Leadership Application
Due July 24

Leadership training has been an important part of the Chamber's program of work for over 35 years.

By natural extension, you could estimate that we have trained more than 1,000 people to take leadership roles in our community. Chances are, you know someone or serve in leadership roles with someone who is a graduate of Leadership Abilene.

Deadline for this year's class is quickly approaching with the Chamber accepting applications for the community leadership program through July 24.

The program's main objectives are to: (1) Identify and motivate potential leaders; (2) acquaint them with community needs; (3) provide insight into techniques opportunities and challenges of leadership; (4) explore alternate perspectives for community challenges; and (5) encourage new leaders to community involvement.

The commitment from the participants is to attend monthly sessions from September through May, learning about Abilene's particular strengths and challenges and to develop leadership skills.

The program is limited to a maximum of 34 participants selected through an application process from a diverse group of business, professional, government, educational, religious and civic organizations.

Please go online at www.abilenechamber.com or contact Erica at [email protected] for an application or for more information.

Thanks and have a great week. Jason
