Nikos Hardavellas, Assistant Professor, Director of Parallel Architecture Group at NU (PARAG@N) was recently interviewed by Srini Devadas, Edwin Sibley Webster Professor of EECS at MIT, about his work on Dynamic Directories.

Dynamic Directories are based on the observation that a large fraction of the data traffic inside a multicore processor originates not from actual data transfers, but from communication between the cores to maintain data coherence.  Read More  
EECS, ME, & BME Announce New 1 Year MS in Robotics Program

The departments of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Biomedical Engineering (BME) are proud to announce the Master of Science in Robotics (MSR) program.

The MSR is for engineers who want to work in the rapidly growing field of robotics and be equipped with the tools required to be a robotics engineer.

Roboticists must possess a depth of knowledge and experience in a broad array of fields, such as computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, and mathematics. Read More 
Motorola Student Competition- Thursday, Nov. 21
Motorola Mobility
A technology competition for Northwestern University students, sponsored by Motorola Mobility, titled, "Breaking Mobile Limits: Future of Mobile Technology," will be kicking off November 21, at 5 p.m. in Room M345, Technological Institute.

* Create and prototype disruptive concepts that will shape the future of mobile technology and fundamentally transform how the next generation of mobile technology will improve lives
* Get guidance from some of the best engineers in mobile device industry
* Original work created during the competition for the competition
