VIDEO: Puerto Rico Doesn't Say Whether Agency Debt Payment Will Be Made

Puerto Rico officials left investors guessing by failing to say whether they'll make a bond payment due Saturday that risks pushing the securities into default.

Government Development Bank President Melba Acosta said in statement that a $169 million debt service payment for the bank will be paid. She didn't mention a $58 million payment due the same day by the Public Finance Corp.
 
A default would mark an escalation in the debt crisis that's been racking the island, where officials are pushing for what may be the biggest restructuring ever in the municipal market. Puerto Rico bond prices have slipped amid speculation that the island won't pay be able to repay what it owes as its economy stagnates and residents leave for the U.S. mainland.

The mobile phone companies in the short messages (SMS) sent to subscribers today, and briefed them "diamond News" that "according to the Ministerial Declaration of the Ministry of Finance / General Authority for taxes for all mobile operators it will be from tomorrow the first Saturday of the month of August for the year 2015 collection and transfer of sales tax and the $ 20% of the nominal value are installed on the scratch cards and electronic tired for prepaid service and monthly bills for payment on credit sales tax service users. Turtle13 : I was in San Antonio this weekend went to mall by river walk and guess what we saw!! A currency exchange office in the mall, with large signs saying "Dinar, Dong, etc" talk about a shock!!

I ran down the escalator to talk with them but they were closed!!!  

it have large print signs of numerous currencies, and dong was one of them... what shocked me was that "Dinar" was listed in several places..

THIS ALL STARTED UP WEDNESDAY WHEN NOVA AND RECEIVED A CALL FROM ONE OF THESE GROUPS ASKING US WHAT DID THEY NEED TO DO FOR US TO STOP CALLING THEIR GROUP A SCAM.

WELL IF YOU WERE NOT A SCAM YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE MADE THAT CALL. THEN THIS MAN TRIED TO THREATEN ME AND TOLD ME HE WAS ASKED TO CALL ME BY AN ALPHABET AGENCY.
