First, thanks go to all who supported the W.A.R.M. food drive last weekend, especially Dr. SAC Collins! You'll read the story in From the Website, found below.
Have you invited someone to our community session, Operation Street Smart, next Wednesday, October 22nd? St. Augustine's is providing meeting space and child care for this event, led by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. If you have specific questions, see
Curt Collins. Click the link in
From the Website below for details.
It's time to sign up for items to bring to Chili Cook-Off on November 7th at the Patricks'. I understand through the grapevine that our leadership team president (a non-cooker!) is bringing a special chili dish you will not want to miss (thanks, Allen P., for sharing your family recipe!) We are asking each family to contribute $10.00 for this event. Have you thought about friends to invite? The Maneys have already extended invitations to two couples, with more to come! Think about inviting folks who might enjoy getting to know our St. Augustine's family in a social setting.
And, speaking of Christmas! :-) Our church again will participate in Operation Christmas Child, preparing shoeboxes for children around the world. If you would like to get a head start on this project,
click here. November 17th - 24th are the national collection days. Coming soon will be the details for our initiative at St. Augustine's to support this mission to share God's love around the world. (
St. Ann has the Operation Christmas Child boxes for your packing needs.)
Finally, a reminder that St. Augustine's will be visiting at Worthington Christian Village this Sunday at 2:00. If you have not made a monthly visit, maybe now is the time. Your heart will be full, knowing that you are the hands and feet of Christ to someone in need.
Below you will find a perspective on faith shared by one of our parishioners. It resonated with me, and so I provide it below. Perhaps you know of someone who might benefit from reading this statement. You can simply forward this email to him/her. It's as easy as that!
God bless you this week as you live out your faith and seek God's presence in your daily lives.
