Worship and Conversations with Bp. Wayne Miller This Sunday

We are delighted to welcome the bishop of the Metro Chicago Synod, Bp. Wayne Miller, as our guest preacher and
 presiding minister this Sunday.

After worship we are invited to gather for conversation with one another and the bishop. Those who attend will be asked to reflect on our congregation's possibilities, name our fears and concerns about the crossroads in front of us, and consider a commitment to shaping and co-creating our future. We anticipate the conversation lasting about 90 minutes. Any relevant updates or announcements will be included and light lunch will be served. It's important that many voices and perspectives are represented, so we hope you decide to participate!

As we continue with our Coffee Hour Conversations this spring, please stay tuned to the Messenger for updates, reflections, and to stay informed on what's going on.

This dance will feature live music by Common Taters performing dance music from the British Isles. The caller will be Maggie Jo Saylor. For more information, check out our blog.

  • Cathy Swanson as she recovers from a brief hospitalization for injuries to her back, and for Alex during this time of additional care-giving.

The ministry of prayer is the vocation of all Christians, and St. Luke's takes seriously its calling to pray for all in need. If you would like to be included on the prayer list please contact the church office or Pastor Erik. Giving to St. Luke's

Many members and friends of St. Luke's use online giving to make regular financial gifts to the congregation. One advantage to this method of giving is that you can update and make changes to your planned giving yourself (though the office is always available to assist you with your gifts to the congregation).  To access St. Luke's online giving site, see: www.bit.ly/GiveStLukes
